Eldim

ELDIM develops and manufactures cooled digital cameras, video photometers, colorimeters and turn-key inspection systems. Their instruments are used by all the leading display manufacturers to measure from micro, automotive and mobile displays to projection, and large scale LED installations. They also have the unique ability to fully characterize both active and passive stereoscopic 3D displays.

Their uniformity series of instruments can rapidly measure color, luminance, polarization, radiance and chromaticity with high accuracy in resolutions from 1 to 50 megapixels. The high accuracy is a result of custom optics ELDIM manufacture in house and custom colour filters that are matched to the cooled CCD camera spectral response. These are regularly used in both R&D and production environments.

The viewing angle series of instruments uses patented Fourier optics to rapidly measure luminance, color, contrast, reflectance, BRDF, polarization, radiance, and illuminance for all angles up to +/- 88 degrees. These measurements take seconds compared to the hours required for other techniques. As with the uniformity series, the high accuracy is the result of in house built custom optics and custom color filters matched to the spectral characteristics of the individual CCD response.
